What color is your front Door? Maybe it should be pink!

Writer and a former contributor to aaduna, Christine Green recently attended the Pink Door Writing Retreat in Rochester, New York (USA.) This annual retreat is exclusively for women of color, and is designed to promote community and discussion among writers often excluded from other less inclusive retreats and workshops.
The four day retreat concluded on Saturday, July 30th with a reading at Rochester's "Poetry & Pie" hosted by Rachel McKibbens and Jacob Rakovan.
Ms. Green described the event as a "weekend of rich magic. Thick, glittery, potent, poetic magic. Pink Door 2016 opened my heart and my eyes. I'm changed."

Christine Green also founded, and coordinates "Words on the Verge," a monthly reading series convened at A Different Path Gallery in Brockport, New York. This series is another opportunity for all writers and poets to share their literary vision with the larger community. The reading series is free and open to all.
aaduna continues to support and stand with women of color who take words, arrange them so they are infused with ‘magic’ and meaning, and then transition those words into language to inspire and create an uplifting atmosphere for readers to embolden their spirit. We encourage all of our sisters to seek out avenues to share their ideas, listen to supportive feedback, embrace collaboration, and when ready, give the public your creative results.
We stand with you!
