Is bill berry out from the shadows?

Image
Bill Berry, Jr. (Photo by Lisa Brennan) aaduna publisher, bill berry prides himself on keeping aaduna contributors before the public’s eye, and not necessarily himself (even though aaduna Board members have told him that he is the “face” of the journal and needs to be more public.)   bill is even more reticent about reading his work in public so last night was a rare exception for him.   Though the weather was cold and dismal, bill wanted to help kick-off a new monthly open-mic series at an Auburn , NY venue.   And we have proof of this sighting!!! (As published by photographer, Kevin Rivoli , The Post Standard Newspaper, Syracuse 2.19.2015)    Bobbie Panek (photo by Lisa Brennan) Local writer and poet, Bobbie Panek, read her work last night at Word. Theater Mack , and is  a featured poet in aaduna's current issue.  You can read Bobbie's work online right now at:  http://aaduna.org/fallwinter2014/poetry/bobbie-panek/ Fo...

Eavesdropping on a private conversation: “That being said, Ascarrunz…is a Basque name, but I am not Basque.   My parents are from a small town in Iowa …I also have a sister-in-law who is from Morocco and is Muslim.   My nephews are mixed-race.   I really think that with my sons' generation, that does not mean the same thing.   Kids don't judge each other the same way we adults do.   My reality is very multi-cultural.” Intrigued?   Julie Ascarrunz, aaduna featured poet (photo provided) Read more Julie Ascarrunz from her “Conversation,” February 18 – 25 at http://aaduna.org/conversations/ You will enjoy!
