Pronounce it…ask-uh-roonz

Eavesdropping on a private conversation:

“That being said, Ascarrunz…is a Basque name, but I am not Basque.  My parents are from a small town in Iowa…I also have a sister-in-law who is from Morocco and is Muslim.  My nephews are mixed-race.  I really think that with my sons' generation, that does not mean the same thing.  Kids don't judge each other the same way we adults do.  My reality is very multi-cultural.”
