"What a beautiful, moving and thrilling event..."

Question: How do you surpass your Auburn, NY 2014 fundraiser affair with a 2015 event when both affairs shared the same theme and venue???!!! Answer: You kick it up several notches. "In the Spirit of the Harlem Renaissance...Revisted, 2015,"  was an event rarely seen, if ever seen in Auburn, NY.  Uptown met downtown.  Downstate met upstate.  Poets, writers and spoken word performers enhanced by the piano stylings of Andy Rudy created an evening that transported the audience back to the days of the Harlem Renaissance.  He re are some photos:   (Left to Right)  William E Berry, Jr, Raymond Nat Turner, Catherine C. aaduna Spring 2014 Fundraiser ~ We need your Support!

  Fundraiser: Sunday, May 18th, Bill's Place/Harlem, NY The Council of Literary Magazines & Presses [clmp] and the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) awarded aaduna, Inc. a capacity building grant to mount spring 2014 fundraisers, one in New York City (May 18th) and the other in Auburn, New York. aaduna, Inc receives another grant!

Christmas and Kwanzaa came early for aaduna, Inc. the non-profit and 501(c) (3) tax-exempt entity that publishes aaduna .  The Council on Literary Magazines and Presses (known as clmp) in partnership with the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) offered the New York State Literary Publishers Capacity Fund maximum grant award to as sist aaduna in fundraising costs for 2014.   Interestingly, aaduna Inc.’s grant application did not seek the maximum award.  aaduna received the clmp notification the week before Christmas.  Trisha Low, CLMP Director of Membership and Development stated,  “We are very pleased to be able to offer you this award, to recognize your contribution to the literary arts, and to wish you the very best in your ongoing publishing endeavors.” Understanding the need to create a platform of sustainability, aaduna, Inc. will initiate two , fund- and friend-raising activities this coming spring.  These events will occur in...
