A Life Well Lived
aaduna has been on a temporary hiatus,
as we recognized the passing and remembered the legacy of Theresa M. Berry,
mother of our publisher.

Now…
We
are back.
We
are back getting ready to bring you the winter/spring 2019 issue of our
multicultural and diverse literary and visual arts journal, aaduna.
We
are in the process of identifying contributors; getting work edited, as well as
finalizing various public readings at The Seward House Museum (April 5th) and the
new Equal Rights Heritage Center (May 3) both in Auburn, NY. And we are prepping
for the third season of “word, revisited” a bi-weekly literary and open mic
series starting on March 14th presented at the Carriage House Theater in partnership with Auburn's Cayuga Museum of History and Art and Olive Trees,
a print literary journal.
Also,
we are finalizing our Fifth Annual Fundraiser that will be held on May 23rd
at the Cayuga Museum. This gala affair will bring closure to the “In the Spirit
of the Harlem Renaissance” theme that has marked all the fundraisers to date as
we get ready to highlight other historical and contemporary developments in the
field of literature and the visual arts. And we will continue to recognize the
influence of music on all that we do.
Just
as importantly, we will resume focusing our attention on members of the aaduna community and highlighting what
those folks are up to as far as publications, readings, and overall involvement
in literary activities. We will kick those announcements off with Christine
Green, founder of “Words on the Verge” a literary series convened monthly in
Brockport, New York on Monday, February 18th, and hope to share the
happenings of contributors, supporters and other artists we are affiliated with a
few times each week as long as “the well does not run dry.” (Hint: let us know
what you are doing that you would like us to share with our readership.) So…here is the deal.
We
are back!
