“Chops…” either you have it or you don’t
A word that is almost exclusively the providence of musician and jazz aficionados.
Chops
a word that in my mind denotes a creative audacity to burrow deep into one’s creativity,
to blow the roof off status quo acceptability; to “kick it” in such a way
that observers {we} are intrigued, surprised, and willing to embrace the
challenge to explore deeper into our analyses of creative presentations, to
re-think what was felt to be an acceptable foundation, and to re-fashion our
view of the creative forces that push us in a different and novel direction.

Chops.
Lanette
Ware-Bushfield has chops. Pure and simple.
She funnels words and themes through a literary creative
vision that propels readers into her world of imagination, intellectual
critique, and the wonderment of reading words that speak to our collective
experiences.
Lanette
Ware-Bushfield has chops. Her background and what she
does and how she does it bear witness to my statement.
Ware-Bushfield,
born in New York City, is evolving towards expat status in the “North,”
Toronto, Canada to be specific. As an actor, writer and producer she knows how
to delve into and explore her creative side in such a way that she can
extrapolate wondrous words and projects that are graciously uplifting, and for
some, provocative but in a way that stimulates re-thinking and self-reflection.
Ware-Bushfield’s
non-fiction literary work will be in the forthcoming issue of aaduna.
At
aaduna, we continuously face a simple yet multi-faceted endeavor to
discover, to probe, to go deeper then other publications. Lanette will further
push aaduna’s ongoing exploration into the global sphere inhabited by
very talented creatives.
While
we will not provide a snippet of her soon to be published work in aaduna,
we will share that Lanette has worked alongside Samuel L.
Jackson, Alec Baldwin, Chris Rock and James Gandolfini (RIP.) She has produced
several television projects for the small screen and has been directed by Spike
Lee, Joel Schumacher and John Singleton (RIP) to name a few.
Our
bottom line?
Lanette
Ware-Bushfield
has CHOPS!
You will embrace this testament in a
few weeks.
