With no disrespect to John Lennon in a time of need

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man

Imagine all the people sharing all the world

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

OR

Imagine a world leader who suggests ingesting disinfectant to erase the coronavirus in your body even after his miracle drug-fighting COVID-19 medicine, hydroxychloroquine shyt the bed.

Imagine the opinions of elected representatives {propagated throughout the media} that are so stupid and ill-informed that all you can do is shake your head and wonder why.

Imagine there are people who continue to support such misinformed and erroneous national and local leaders’ opinions by spreading false information to others through their social media platforms.

Imagine opening societies up even as the silent killer’s tentacles continue to snare the unsuspected. {Blessed are the business owners who are going to extraordinary lengths to keep their customers safe even as governmental leaders eschew that type of safety information.}

Imagine the crassness of political strategists who advise a client to espouse false hope just to position a candidacy to garner votes from people who rather feel good than safeguarding their bodies.

So…

“Imagine all the people living life in peace”

out of wreckage

awaken – morning star,
once beloved brother,
submerged in flagellant

thoughts –

buried dead or alive,
but  bounties
rise and mark–stock,

a belated shower
of roses – an unholy
atrocity,

the undertaker pivots,
reclaim faulty grounds.
april                 lets depart

towards a fading
interlude and allude
the great valley of

mourning.

bouquet

the bend of art
like calligraphy, today is born
autumn leaves
a field of amber
thorns, your heart
mends my faults
 — flowers for
Momma, i love
the way you
swear beneath
my heart —  yellow
tulips, bloom
