We are extremely saddened to learn of the passing of an esteemed elder poet, writer, activist, teacher and inspiration to all segments of the community…Jackie Warren-Moore.

On November 10, 2018, Ms. Warren-Moore was a featured reader along with two other women poets at a special aaduna event titled, “Fierce.” This event was convened at the Women’s Rights National Historic Park in Seneca Falls, New York.

Her health prevented her from reading at aaduna’s Halloween Gala which was the 5th annual fundraiser on October 31, 2019. Prior to that event, she mesmerized the audience when she presented her work at the 2017 aaduna fundraiser.

During those times, we hoped that her
health would not deter or stop the power of her voice or presence in the
community. And we reflect on her courage, creative abilities, community
activism, and devotion to family and friends.
Rest in PEACE dear Ms. Jackie... You are missed and shall remain forever in our hearts.
