The Harlem Renaissance…was not an ordinary time
The Harlem Renaissance…was not an ordinary time. The Harlem Renaissance was ten years of unbridled creativity, enthusiasm and daring. Darker poets, musicians, artists, dancers, writers interacting with Black and white supporters and fans in parlor rooms, clubs, speakeasies, juke joints, houses of ill-repute. Black and white challenging social taboos.
They are back!
aaduna, Inc.’s “In the Spirit of the Harlem Renaissance” replicates the nuances of that historical period where words, music, and the creative arts aligned and magically collided to create momentous cultural explosions that impacted generations and spurred an international appreciation of Black culture.
aaduna welcomes your participation and support in its annual fundraiser and knows that you will enjoy engulfing yourself in the ongoing spirit of 1919-1929…in 2018!
We will start to highlight the 2018 featured poets, writers and musicians this week.
